an entry at last

wow. it's been more than a month since i have made an entry, and that means i've been here in the philippines for that long already. i'm still into some adjustments with my return here, but things are pretty much smooth sailing. honestly i didn't really plan to write down stuff right now, but since i made some business with my blogger account, i might as well bring back to life this blog on hiatus.

so, to start this entry, i am officially not a teen anymore.

goodbye teenage life. i turned twenty last 24th of june, which had a different twist on the start. we went to keziah's (my batchmate from upis) birthday party, which was on the 23rd, and left their place with some of our friends at around 9 in the evening. and so i thought to myself, i still have time to reach home, and then i'd be doing my countdown to 12 midnight and wait for all the text greetings while i'm lying on my bed.

apparently, that did not happen. we were dead stuck in heavy (and i mean heavy) traffic. we were sitting on the tamaraw fx that i was driving that time when the clock on the dashboard tick tocked its way to 12, and then everyone around me started singing happy birthday! and then all the text greetings came pouring in, with some calls from my friends. i was hell tired when i finally reached our doorsteps, but i was also hell sure that it's a memorable one.

what about school?

well, i'm only taking 16 academic units for this semester, but hopefully i'll be getting around 19 for the next. i'm actually in the middle of my academic hell days right now, with all subjects having deadlines or exams this coming week, so i should be doing something productive while it's still a weekend.

as for my org life, things are doing great. i was appointed executive secretary on the spot by our chair leni, and i accepted it. some doubts at first, but i thought to myself, why not if i believe i can do something for arki forum? besides, the org is a big barkada that i'm part of. and i'm so proud that i am. same with arkaira, arki's performing org.

i'm also starting to meet new people now, and it's been nice knowing them. most of them are younger than me, coz of course we're getting old in arki and the student numbers of the people now are like 05-*****. haha. and when they tell me (or see in their AF app forms for the apps) that they were born 1988, i was like, damn i'm old!

oh well. that's how college life goes. people enter UP, study, graduate and leave. i'm supposed to only have 2 years left before i graduate, but since i'm already delayed coz of my leave last semester, it's stretched to three. at least that means longer stay here before i go back to america for good.
