to the drafting table!

yesterday, i went to deb's place at katipunan to do a plate for arch 136 due next week. well, i came in late at around 9:50 am, and we were supposed to meet at 9. of course, i was expecting pat and ben to be there already... but when i was about to enter deb's door, ben just came out of the elevator. haha.

we started doing the plate right after i showed them the pictures from the past whole AF week. we were then planning what to do, and then they started using autocad which i have absolutely no knowledge of, and i was staring blankly on the laptop screen. haha. they already took arch 7 last semester when i was in america.

and then, we started working. of course all of us were feeling very lazy, plus because the plate is for sir espina (ugh). and then deb asked me to do an isometric drawing of a room in the arki building. i took my stuff out of my bag, grabbed the pencil, and...

poof.

i just realized that it's been a very long time since i last drafted. i haven't done anything like it for around eleven months already!!! waaaah. up to now, my drafting table here is still folded behind my cousin's study table, desperately waiting to be used (coz i don't have a construction or design class this semester).

i felt frustrated at first, but then i still continued drafting. and i kinda finished it. i was staring at it for a while, and thought, the pencil, triangles, tsquares and all that stuff are still cooperating with me. =p

haha. eleven months. ben even told me, 'hindi pa umabot ng isang taon ah."

my answer? buti na lang talaga, hindi!

yeah!

it's over. just came home from the Arki Forum field trip to Batangas and Tagaytay, which ended the whole week.

but before anything else...

THANK GOD FOR A SUCCESSFUL
UP ARKI FORUM WEEK!!!

it feels great for the executive committee to be congratulated by the members of UP Arki Forum... all the time and effort we've given for this finally paid off. it's so fulfilling to have accomplished many things in a short period of time (plus the stressful acad loads!). :)

Leni, Tseri, Xtian, Cheska, Agnes, Saku, Sudar and Macky... i'm very happy for all the work we've done, considering they've caused us restlessness. :P GO EXECOM 2005!

thanks a lot to all the members and applicants who've helped us along the way... you guys know who you are. :) this week wouldn't be a blast without all of you!

next year... SILVER anniversary! 25 years! let's see what happens. :)

to my sister

i still remember the times when my ate and i would fight over even the smallest of things, play endless rounds of habulan outside the house, yell at each other because of disagreements about things, and all other up and down situations we've been together.

honestly, we didn't really have a great brother-sister connection to begin with. but when the time came that we moved to america, and that we had no one else to talk to, we started to establish a good relationship. we became really close, and i started opening up to her.

coz i rarely do that before.

it's been twenty years since we've been together in our family, and it's just funny that we're keeping that connection just now. well, at least, we already have it.

happy birthday ate. it's your first birthday there in america. i know that you're not aware of this blog's existence, but i just want to tell everyone that i miss you so much. i know we have quarrels most of the time, but it's all good.

and, i haven't told you this yet...

i love you! :)

exciting and exhausting

having read my friend's entry on her tabulas made me think of writing this one. i just found out that we're somewhat in a same situation right now.

so many things to do, but feeling too lazy.

Arki Forum Week's starting this monday. it's gonna be hell tiring but fun. we have different activities from monday to friday, and i was thinking that this week's gonna be a good stress reliever for me, away from the reality of plates, exams, and other things about academics.

oops. i'm wrong.

alongside this activities comes a big blast of midterm exams, papers, requirements and all other stuff. i have midterm exams for arch 161 and arch 136, a take-home exam for pan pil 19, a sketch for arch 161 (again), all on the same week.

and so i thought, august 19's gonna be fun coz it's the last day of AF week and there's no class.

wrong again!

the following week is Arki Week (august 21-26), and the fourth year people (including me) are in charge of all the activities. another week of fun yet full of work. and, there's an exam for arch 27 and a plate due for arch 136 on the same week. i also have to practice with the other arkaira dancers for a performance in arki party.

whew. so i guess after august 26, i gotta have a very good break. a looong one i hope. unless more requirements come my way.

anyway, the AF members watched the AF applicant's Lamangan at Looban (talent show) this morning. it was a good one... for me at least. :)

it's raining

it's a rainy morning. i couldn't even remember when was the last time i opened my eyes to a new day, still lying on the bed, hearing the pitter patter of raindrops outside, and enjoying the warmth given to me by my blanket.

surprisingly, i'm gonna spend the whole saturday only here in the house, coz i have nothing to do that requires going out (sorry leni, can't go with y'all to watch the game). besides, it's a lazy day for me now. i believe i deserve a break from everything that i've been doing lately.

i also woke up with a kinda odd feeling. i don't even know why, but it suddenly popped out of my mind. i've been thinking a bit weird last night, and as expected, i dreamt about it. sheesh.

and oh, it's already august. this will be a hell of a month for sure. arki forum week and arki week are coming their way. fast. and i need to be doing something productive as soon as possible.

i have to go back to america this semestral break. sucks big time.
