23rd

this morning, i went to loyola memorial park to visit my kuya. it's (supposedly) his 23rd birthday now, so i made time amidst the plate cramming, and brought him some flowers. of course i talked and talked to him, coz i know he's just there beside me, listening.

too bad i forgot the lighter... hence there was no candle lighting. well, it was just starting to rain that time, so what the heck.

notice that his middle initial's J and mine's Z. my tita actually had that marble thing (whatcha call that again?) done by some (insert your answer here)-maker, and she accidentaly gave her middle initial. so there. heehee.

happy birthday kuya. we love you so much. you'll always be in our prayers.

alright, back to work... have lots (and i mean it) of deadlines to meet and upcoming exams to study for. i'll be back for a longer post when i get the chance to.

but when? hahaha...

just like how i felt

had the urge to post again.

i've just read my friend's blog entry. she's gonna have her interview at the US embassy a few weeks from now.

yup, she's leaving.

all the words she've written on the entry hit me in some way.

i was in her place a year ago. and i know exactly how she feels right now... the mixed up emotions, the feeling of wanting to go there but at the same time not, the worries of leaving people you've loved so much here in exchange of being with the people you love there... the life you've had for several years is indeed gonna change.

which reminded me, last january was like depression month for me. and i've just realized that my whole family's gonna hit their 365th day there on the fifth of february... i miss them so much already.

hitting the crossroads... been there, done that. it's hard as it is.

i suddenly feel so low now.

and i also have to leave. yes, i'm coming back, like my friend would do, but still, the inevitable sad feeling of leaving will be there...

you're not yet leaving, but i'm sad already.

so this is how it feels. now i know how my close friends felt when i left...

random ramblings

at long last... an update.

***

oh i just hate january. right after the much needed Christmas break, students (especially arki people) are welcomed by tons of work here and there. gaaah. i have like a plate, exam or research paper for every frickin' major subject (i have six this semester, btw), and all of them are due by this week till the middle of february.

therefore, not much time to blog.

***

i'm glad that american idol's back with its fifth season. now i'll have another reason to watch tv more often. it's just on its audition episodes now though, so it's not that interesting yet (except for some funny moments). can't wait for the hollywood eps... and of course, the final 24, and lastly, the final 12.

(*spoiler* i've just read on some website that a filipino's gonna make it through the final 24... a guy from the (boy)band named kai. don't know if it's true though. let's just wait and see...)

***

the up arki forum's gonna have the arkwiz 2006 on the eight of february, and it's such a good feeling that seven schools have already replied and confirmed their participation for the event. so as of now, we already have eleven teams competing (some schools are gonna send two teams). all of us are excited, and at the same time, kinda nervous.

i'm a hundred percent sure we can pull this off. go AF!

we (the MNMS people, haha) just hope that more people would help us... the org has lots of members, but you can just count with your fingers the number of people working. sheesh.

***

i went to bed last night around 7:30 in the evening to catch up with sleep (i barely had rest for the past days and i didn't feel well... actually, till now). and around ten, the phone rang. since my caller id's out of batteries already, i just answered the phone, hoping that it'd be one of my friends who'd like to spend some time to chat.

surprisingly, it was her.

after that friday the 13th, we finally talked.

oh well... there was this one question asked... aaah.

***

so there.

february's approaching. the valentines month. fourteen's gonna be another singles awareness day for me, i guess...

and oh, i'm leaving on the 8th. can't on the 15th coz i found out that i also have to file my income tax due that day. haha. gotta be a responsible US resident.

yeah right. whatever.

first 2006 entry

it's been more than two weeks since 2006 started... and contrary to what i've been hoping for this year's turnouts, unfortunate events have happened already...

first, i've had fever, headache and body pains for four days. i even had to miss my classes for a day coz the pain was way too unbearable. of course, i didn't have the appetite to eat much that time, hence i lost a few pounds, and many people told me that i got a bit thinner.

second... well, it's not much of a bad news, but we're already looking for a flight booking (and it's a rhyme, haha). i'm gonna leave on the 8th or 15th of april, and planning to go back probably on the 27th of may.

and third...

the love story has ended. things just didn't work out.

nuff said.

and i thought this year's gonna start just right. turns out, it's full of new drama. sheesh.

anyway, weird thing a while ago when i was driving my way home after that darn esquisse for construction... there was this man standing in front of his house (i think), who kept on making the sign of the cross everytime a vehicle passes by... twas kinda freaky. i just thought, is there a bad omen with the tamaraw fx i'm driving? haha. i looked at the rear mirror to see if the taxi behind me also got the same thing from him...

and it did.

busy arki life. midterms coming our way. papers, esquisses, plates, projects, homeworks... gotta meet all the deadlines.

so... help me God. haha.
