one week and a few days

at last, my hell week is finally over.

and so is arch 33 (sir litonjua!).

thank God i'm still alive. haha.

i only have one requirement left, that is, the arch 75 research paper, due april 5. since it's still a week away, i can relax for a while (like what i'm doing now), and take much-needed naps.

and i just realized yesterday, i'm already leaving next week. the two suitcases that i'd be using are already here in my room, waiting to be filled with stuff i'm gonna bring there with me. i know i'm coming back, but i can't stop feeling so low.

anyway, i started cleaning and fixing stuff here in my room a while ago. also gotta start packing, coz april 8 is just around the corner.

AF's gonna spend 3 days in batangas, from april 7 to 9. it's so ironic that they'll be swimming on the beach and enjoying the sun, while i'll be spending time inside the plane, with no one to talk to. haha.

so help me God.

presenting... my upcoming HELL week.

monday - arch 35 final exam, arch 147 reporting
tuesday - geog 1 reporting
wednesday - arch 7 final submission
thursday - arch 147 final exam
friday - arch 32 hospital design formal presentation!!! waaaah!!!

and after those days, i still have to deal with the arch 33 final plate and arch 75 research paper.

and then, i'm back to america.
in 3 weeks. haha.

push... i need motivation... onti na lang, and i'll be proud of myself for getting thru this very hard third year level.

on the bright side of things, my laptop's finally fixed!!! haha! just in time for the hospital design that we're gonna work on with autocad and sketchup. :p

gotta sleep...

aaaah. tasks.

the last time i had a chat with my sister on ym, she was asking me what email address i frequently use. i actually only have one, so i gave that to her, and told me that she's gonna send a list of items which i have to bring when i go back there.

days passed, and still there was no list...

not until now.

i opened my email a few minutes ago, and finally got it. it wasn't a simple list to be exact, coz it's a looong one. on it are mostly food (like pastillas and century tuna), her clothes, and of course, her kikay stuff. ack, it only means i have to do shopping and buying before i leave. it's like i'm gonna prepare myself for a big calamity. haha.

airline rules state that each passenger will be allowed to bring only 2 suitcases. but with a list like that, i think i have to plan a great strategy in packing and fitting them all in!

anyway, i have soooo many deadlines next week. gaaah. there's something for each friggin' day! construction plate, acoustics report and plumbing exam all on the 20th, geography report on the 21st, cad finals submission on the 22nd, acoustics exam on the 23rd, and design presentation on the 24th!!!

the deadlines are making me... dead. hahaha.

toxic third year life. at least i'm not alone! *paging ekang, mara, all 3rd year!* we're all gonna get thru this! ;p

closing celebration

just got home an hour ago from the final celebration for the Haraya 2006. we had the inauguration of the Juguilon Hall Buildings 1 and 2, and the anything-goes show of the Arki students which coincided with the Alumni Homecoming. edpat and i went back and forth on both buildings, to sell stuff on the first, and jam with the band on the second.

twas really a fun fun night. aside from selling AF shirts, we've had the chance to talk to some of the AF alumni, and get their contacts for the upcoming 25th year celebration of the org. we were also recognized by tita anna (AF founding member) during the program proper because we have raised some money as donation to their Blitz book drive, with the Arki Library as its beneficiary. on the other hand, we had some tequila and beer while rocking and jamming with our fellow arki students on the other building, and had a lot of picture taking. haha.

but as Haraya comes to a close, it means back to normal arki life. plates, esquisses, exams, papers... can i even still consider it normal? haha. this past whole week was like a happy and eventful dream for all of us, away from arki subjects and academic stress (we've had stress this week but it was because we had fun)... and tomorrow, we'll wake up and probably realize that we still have so much to do before the school year ends.

anyway, since i'm already talkin' about this past week's series of events, might as well add something to your info database (haha). the late former dean, Aurelio Juguilon, whom the buildings were named after, is actually my grandfather. we're not directly related, but he's my grandma's cousin. her name's maria juguilon zabala, and i'm john jason zabala molina.

that's why when the inauguration was being held, i kept on wondering if some Juguilon relative would come. actually, i think i saw some of them, coz they were looking at lolo's picture differently, as if they were attached to it or something. i dunno. and when i was inside the research room, i saw a piece of paper with a name of a Juguilon person written on it.

so i guess there really were Juguilon people that time. we may not be directly related anymore, but i'm still proud that our lolo is called the Father of UP Architecture. i took a picture of his photograph at the dean's gallery, coz i'm gonna show it to lola. i know she'll be proud of her cousin.

anyway, off topic: i can't believe ayla brown (my crush!) got the boot on american idol. i mean, i also like melissa (they're both in the bottom two), but i think ayla deserves the final slot more than she does. same with gedeon, though i don't like him at all, i believe he's more talented than some of the guys that were put into the final 12.

oh well. can't do anything about it. that's how america voted.

and... damn heart.

4 weeks

wow.

only a month is left for me before i go back there. it feels like it was just yesterday when i returned to this country, got reunited with the people i used to be with, and basically tried to put back my life to where it was before (though actually, i didn't succeed. change is inevitable, so i've just learned to deal with it).

but now, it's so unbelievable how time flies so fast, especially if you are way too busy that you wouldn't notice days pass by, until that day has come. nakakainis isipin. leaving for me is like packing my whole life again, inside the two suitcases i'd be bringing there.

and at this point, i don't know if i'm gonna feel sad because i'm riding that plane back to new york and be away from this place (for even just a couple of months), or simply glad because i'm gonna be reunited with my whole family after almost a year of not being with them.

and now, the mixed emotions are back. and they suck bigtime.

not to mention the hell of academic work, which i have to deal with before anything else. plates, exams, reports, papers... gaah.

anyway, had a blast this past evening with the evening of music, one of the events for Haraya 2006 (it's a week-long celebration for the 50th foundation anniversary of the College of Architecture). danced all the way with the arkaira dancers plus ma'am richelle (my humps! haha) and watched a bunch of performances by the students and faculty.

okay, back to work...

nah.

better sleep. so tired.

nice timing

great.

just when the last month of classes has started and deadlines are just around the corner and all important files and documents i need are stored inside that damn machine...

my laptop won't turn on.

shit. this is so frustrating.

aaaaaaaarrrrrrrggghhhhhhhhh!!!
